    Get It Now!
When I first heard “Have a Good Time” on the dance radio station my brother and I listen to, I was hooked. Although I missed out on the CD give away the station was running, I wasn’t about to give up. I found the disc here on Amazon and probably spent about 5 minutes just going through the track previews. After I finally got around to buying the item along with some Tranformers DVDs, I immediatly plopped the disc in my radio to listen to. I was overall pleased with the tracks. (for some reason, though, “Come to Me” sounds staticky on my MP3 player-see reviews for Insigina 4GB) “That Voice” grew on me after awhile, and “No More Innocence” started off weird, but I learned to appreciate it once they started rocking out. Again, “Have A Good Time” was an automatic favorite; and then I heard the dance remix, and nearly blasted my ear drums in pure delight!

As a previous viewer stated, don’t let the cover fool you, this is a musical marvel for the dance/electronica appreciators. I just wish these guys had some more stuff out there, it would be a shame for them to go into obscurity with such talent.

    A breath of Fresh air
Well the reviews I read inspired me to buy this album. So I thought I’d give back. This is a must own album for anyone who enjoys the electonika/pop scene. This is one of the few albums I can listen to from beginning to end and then let it repeat..

Favorite Tracks are “this is what it feels like & Live out this dream”

Also check them out on myspace.com

    The Cover is Misleading
The cover shows two black guys and most people would think that it is a just a hip-pop/rap album. But, this is one of the best Dance/Techno albums ever made.

    1. Make me Dance All Night- Awesome song. The first song I ever heard from this group and I was hooked.

    2. Have a Good Time- A very good song to listen to even when you do not want to get up an dance around.

    3. The DJ Luvs Us- My most favourite song on the album. This song gets me going and I can listen to it over and over and still love it the same as the first time I heard it,

    4. This is What it Feels like- a Really good song.

    5. How we Survived- Another awesome dance song. Makes me really want to dance.

    6. Come to me- A good song. Not the best song to dance to, but a great song to just listen to.

    7. Let it Go- the beginning of this song is just very catchy.

    8. Joyride- This song is okay.

    9. That Voice- The frogs on this song make this song stand out.

    10. Live Out This Dream- This is my second favourite song on this CD. It tells a really good message that even though things change, you can still live out your dream.

    11. Don’t Take it too Far- Pretty good. Kinda slow.

    12. Safe House- A really good song. THis is one of my favourites. The chorus is very addicting.

    13. No More Innocence- I don’t really care for this song.

    14. All We want- Different yet good.

    15. Have A good time- (remix) This remix is “Dancier” than the original and I like it better.

    Woo!
The cover of this album looks like a pair of disgruntled R&B stars.

    But it’s so much more!

The best, and quickest, explanation of this amazing dance outfit I can give is this: Daft Punk meets The Backstreet Boys. Now, I realize that all the songs are vocalized by one person, but the harmonization with the background vocals, and some of the lyrics really do sound straight out of pop.

But these boys know how to kick a beat. Whether it’s the grungy

“The DJ Luvs Me”, the pounding “All We Want” or the stunning self-remixed “Have A Good Time” at the end, these guys want us to party hard!

Of course, they want us to relax too. Some of these songs are simply wonderful to chill to. “Make Me Dance All Night” really is an amazing song and it’s great to sit back and enjoy it.

“That Voice” is probably my favorite track. It’s weird, it’s quirky…I really enjoy the rising scale used throughout the song. Some of the lyrics need some help but overall the track is great and I have yet to get enough.

Seriously, give this CD a shot. If you don’t like it, well…then hmmph. You shouldn’t be reading this review.

    Well worth it!
If you like dance, electronica, house music(as I do),then you should give this CD a listen. Every track on this is good, I mean how many times can you you say that when you put in a CD you don’t have to skip any track on it? This one, I can honestly say that about. All the tracks on here have great hooks and beats, especially “Let It Go”,”The DJ Loves Us” and “Safe House”. 3 Speaker High has put together a ginually good, solid House CD.

    Be Ready To Take Notes
There is a whiff of the seminar about this set: four works for voices and orchestra and one work for piano and small orchestra with an ecclesiastical thread running through them which is snipped at the last piece, Bartok’s Cantata Profana. The title sets the tone: “A Dialogue Between Music Ancient and Modern.” So, you see, here is how certain ideas set to music were treated in medieval times, then the 19th century, and then the “modern” era: from a society steeped in religion to a the world as seen from a rigorously secular point of view. A (rhetorical) “dialogue” between the texts, the composers, and the various supposed audiences for these works is posited. All that is missing is a DVD of Boulez at a blackboard (these are archival recordings, so no Power Point) diagramming the various developments and relationships to be discerned.

The music is mostly engaging, with or without the intellectual construct. There is a vibrant and idiomatic performance of one of Debussy’s lesser-performed works. The Messiaen is on the edgy side, sometimes provoking a wish to get away from those birds, but boring it is not. Bartok’s Cantata is sung in German in a well-focused reading with Boulez’s usual clarity of texture. Compared with Boulez’s recording of the same work 27 years later for Deutsche Grammophon this is a more brisk, austere approach–the DG recording is almost a minute longer, notable in a work which is fairly brief. Could singing the work in the original Hungarian have added that much time? But even Boulez’s later recording is fleet compared to Robert Shaw’s approach to the same work (no surprise there). As for the Messe de Tournai, who knows? It is the starting point of The Thesis, it is medieval, and for all that it sounds just fine. Then there is a work which was new at the time of recording: The Flood, Stravinsky’s exercise in spiky serialism for chorus and narrator, with every sequence and relationship carefully delineated, sung in English with narration in German, an experience that once heard is not soon forgotten.

The recordings were done in two concerts for German radio in 1960 and 1964, and seem to have been attentively remastered. The result is always listenable, if not lush. One recording flaw is a tendency towards diffuseness, which can render the choral passages as a string of airy syllables at times.

This set offers Boulez as a conductor in an earlier period than is usually found in the catalog of recordings, and for that alone it is of interest. All in all, this is a stimulating collection which is buoyed by the performance of the Debussy.

    Good Accessory
Works as advertised on my 60Cx, I was wondering after reading a review that it didn’t, it does. Using on a motorcycle so I wouldn’t go for the USB power because it seems like it will create a weatherproof seal whereas the USB won’t. It’s a must have for me. 4 stars because of the price, yes it’s steep.

    Works good and saves batteries
Purchased to save batteries while travelling. LED is a plus letting you know that the unit is working.

    Way to expensive
The trouble with Garmin it charges way to much for all of its add ons. If you were buying this for a cheap radio you could buy it in the dollar store, but because of the interface you have to buy from them.

What can you say? It’s a power adapter, gotta have it, and they know it!
Works fine with my Vista HCx, just way overpriced!

But, it allows the use of the GPS in the car without using your batteries, and is great for turning up the brightness, as others have noted.

Garmin really does need to think some things through however. Both their AC and DC adapters are just that, adapters. The Vista HCx GPS I use accepts rechargeable batteries, but neither of their adapters are designed to charge batteries, but only to supply voltage to operate?! Kind of short-sighted on their part.

Good product, but I’m deducting points for price, and being unable to function as a charger.

    ease of mind
I used this item for the first time this last weekend. It was nice feeling that I was not using the batteries up before even getting to our activity center. No need to carry a bunch of batteries along. Good to go.
